Introduction & Scope

Azzocare is a digital healthcare platform operated in India, headquartered in New Delhi. Our platform connects patients with verified specialist doctors and leading hospitals across Delhi NCR and India. We provide doctor discovery, appointment booking, doctor profile information, health articles, and patient support services through our website and associated digital channels.

This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Azzocare website (azzocare.com), including patients, visitors, registered users, and anyone who interacts with our contact forms, consultation booking system, or health content. It governs all personal data collected by Azzocare, whether through online or offline means in connection with our services.

This policy is governed by the applicable laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 (and its amendments), the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Personal Data Protection Bill framework.

At Azzocare, your privacy is a fundamental priority. All personal and health data is encrypted and stored on secure servers — we never sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties. Medical information you share with us is used solely to connect you with the right specialist and for no other purpose. We comply fully with India's IT Act 2000, SPDI Rules 2011, and applicable data protection regulations.

Important Notice: Azzocare is a healthcare discovery and appointment facilitation platform. We are not a medical provider. The information, doctor profiles, and health content on our platform are for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for legitimate purposes directly related to providing and improving our healthcare discovery services. Specifically, we use your information to:

  • Respond to your queries, consultation requests, and contact form submissions — to provide you with the care navigation assistance you have requested.
  • Facilitate doctor appointment bookings and connect you with the appropriate specialist or hospital team.
  • Personalise your experience on our platform — such as showing relevant doctors and specialties based on your location and browsing activity.
  • Send you appointment confirmations, reminders, and follow-up communications via SMS, email, or WhatsApp — only when you have requested these.
  • Improve our website, platform features, and content by analysing usage patterns, identifying technical issues, and understanding user behaviour.
  • Conduct analytics and research to understand how patients find healthcare in Delhi NCR and to improve our services accordingly.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations, respond to lawful requests from authorities, and enforce our Terms of Use.
  • Send occasional health-related information, service updates, or promotional communications — with your consent and with the ability to unsubscribe at any time.

We process your personal data on the legal bases of: your consent (where applicable), performance of a contract (when providing services you have requested), legitimate interests (to improve our platform and communicate with users), and legal obligation (where required by law).

Section 04

Information Sharing & Disclosure

Azzocare does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own commercial marketing purposes. We share your information only in the following circumstances and only to the extent necessary:

4.1 With Doctors and Hospitals

When you request a consultation or appointment, we share the relevant details (such as your name, contact information, and medical query) with the specific doctor or hospital you have chosen or enquired about. This sharing is necessary to facilitate your appointment.

4.2 With Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our platform. These include:

  • Website hosting and infrastructure providers
  • Email and SMS communication platforms
  • Analytics providers (e.g., Google Analytics)
  • Customer support and CRM tools
  • Payment processors (if applicable for any paid services)

All service providers are contractually obligated to process your data only in accordance with our instructions and applicable data protection laws.

4.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information when required to do so by law, court order, or government authority — or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of Azzocare, our users, or others.

4.4 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of all or part of Azzocare's business, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change and any choices you may have regarding your information.

We will never sell your personal or health data to advertisers, data brokers, insurance companies, or any other commercial third parties. Azzocare's business model is built on trust — not on monetising patient data.

Section 05

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Azzocare uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your browsing experience, understand how our platform is used, and provide relevant content. A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your web browser.

Types of Cookies We Use

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies: Essential for the website to function. These cannot be disabled. They enable core features like page navigation, form submissions, and security.
  • Analytics Cookies: Used to understand how visitors interact with our website — what pages are visited, how long users stay, and what content is most useful. We use Google Analytics for this purpose.
  • Functional Cookies: Remember your preferences such as language settings, location, and previously viewed doctors or specialties to personalise your experience.
  • Marketing Cookies: Used to show relevant advertisements on other platforms (such as Google or Facebook) to users who have previously visited Azzocare. These are only active with your consent.

Managing Cookies

You can manage or disable cookies at any time through your browser settings. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of our website. You may also opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Section 06

Data Security

The security of your personal information is extremely important to us. We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, accidental loss, alteration, or disclosure.

Our security measures include:

  • SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers (HTTPS)
  • Secure servers hosted with reputable cloud infrastructure providers
  • Access controls ensuring only authorised personnel can access personal data
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments of our platform
  • Strict data handling policies for all staff and service providers who handle personal information
  • Secure deletion of data that is no longer required for the purposes it was collected

Despite our best efforts, no method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects your rights or freedoms, we will notify you promptly in accordance with applicable law.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law. Contact form data and consultation requests are typically retained for a period of 24 months. Website analytics data is retained in aggregated, anonymised form.

Section 07

You have important rights regarding your personal data. Subject to applicable Indian data protection laws, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and information about how it is being used.
  • Correction: Request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal information we hold about you.
  • Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data, subject to any legal obligations requiring us to retain it.
  • Objection: Object to our processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes or where we rely on legitimate interests as our legal basis.

  • Opt Out of Communications: Unsubscribe from any marketing emails or SMS communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link or contacting us directly.
  • Data Portability: Request that we provide your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@azzocare.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.

Section 08

Health & Medical Data

We understand that health and medical information is among the most sensitive categories of personal data. Azzocare treats any health-related information you share with us with the highest level of care, discretion, and protection.

Health-related data that you may voluntarily provide on Azzocare — such as the medical specialty you are seeking, a description of your condition, or details about your diagnosis in a contact form — is used exclusively for the following purposes:

  • To match you with the most appropriate specialist doctor or hospital department
  • To facilitate your consultation booking request
  • To pass relevant clinical background information to the doctor's team before your appointment (with your explicit consent)

We never use health data for advertising, profiling, or commercial analytics. We do not share health-related details with insurers, employers, pharmaceutical companies, or any parties not directly involved in facilitating your medical care.

Important: Azzocare does not store or maintain electronic health records (EHRs). Any health information you share with us through forms or communication channels is used solely to connect you with appropriate medical care and is not stored as part of a medical record system.

Section 09

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, hospital portals, government health websites, or social media platforms. These third-party sites have their own privacy policies, and Azzocare has no control over their content or data practices.

We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party website you visit through a link on Azzocare. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of external websites.

Our website may integrate with the following third-party services whose privacy practices may apply:

Section 10

Children's Privacy

Azzocare's services are not directed to children under the age of 18 years. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from individuals under 18 without verifiable parental or guardian consent.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child under 18 has provided personal information to Azzocare without your consent, please contact us immediately at info@azzocare.com. We will take prompt steps to remove such information from our records.

Where a parent, guardian, or caregiver submits health information on behalf of a child for the purpose of booking a paediatric consultation, this is done under the responsibility and consent of the adult submitting the request.
