Editorial Policy
Our Editorial Commitment
Azzocare is committed to providing health information and doctor-related content that is accurate, transparent, evidence-based, and genuinely useful for patients and caregivers. We recognise that the people who visit our platform are often navigating serious health decisions — and that the quality of information we present can have a direct impact on those decisions.
This Editorial Policy sets out the principles, processes, and standards that govern all health-related content published on the Azzocare website (azzocare.com), including doctor profiles, specialty information, health articles, blog posts, FAQs, and any other written or visual medical content.
Our editorial team works in close collaboration with qualified medical professionals to ensure that every piece of content on our platform meets the highest standards of accuracy and clarity. We do not allow commercial interests — including relationships with hospitals, doctors, or advertisers — to influence the accuracy or integrity of our editorial content.
Scope of This Policy
This Editorial Policy applies to all content published on azzocare.com, including but not limited to:
- Doctor Profiles: Credentials, qualifications, specializations, experience, hospital affiliations, and professional backgrounds of listed doctors.
- Hospital & Clinic Information: Details about partner hospitals, their departments, facilities, accreditations, and services.
- Health Articles & Blog Posts: Informational content on medical conditions, treatment options, symptoms, diagnostics, and general health advice.
- Specialty Pages: Educational overviews of medical specialties including Oncology, Cardiology, Neurology, Orthopaedics, and more.
- FAQs: Frequently asked questions on medical topics, platform usage, and consultation processes.
- Condition & Treatment Guides: Patient-facing educational guides on specific diseases, surgeries, or therapeutic procedures.
- Statistical Claims: Any numerical data, health statistics, or research figures cited on our platform.
This policy does not govern user-generated content such as patient reviews, which are subject to our separate Reviews Policy. Doctor profiles are created in collaboration with the doctors and hospitals themselves and verified by our team before publication.
Core Editorial Principles
3.1 Accuracy & Medical Correctness
Every piece of health content published on Azzocare must be factually accurate and consistent with current medical knowledge and clinical guidelines. We do not publish speculative, unverified, or misleading health information. Where scientific evidence is uncertain or evolving, we clearly state this in the content.
3.2 Evidence-Based Information
All medical claims and health recommendations on our platform are based on credible, peer-reviewed scientific evidence. We prioritise information drawn from recognised medical bodies including the World Health Organisation (WHO), Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Indian Medical Association (IMA), and leading international medical journals and clinical bodies.
3.3 Patient-Centred Language
We write for patients, not for specialists. Our health content is written in clear, accessible, jargon-free language that can be understood by any adult reader regardless of their medical background. Technical terms are always explained when used.
3.4 Independence from Commercial Interests
Azzocare maintains a strict separation between editorial content and commercial relationships. The fact that a hospital or doctor is listed on our platform, or that they have a commercial relationship with Azzocare, does not and will not influence the objectivity, fairness, or accuracy of editorial content related to them.
Sponsored content, advertisements, and promotional material are always clearly labelled and distinguished from independent editorial content. No paid placement will be presented as impartial editorial information.
3.5 Non-Diagnostic Disclaimer
Azzocare is a healthcare discovery platform, not a medical provider. All health content on our website is intended for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a qualified doctor or healthcare provider.
Important Notice: If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 112 or your local emergency number immediately. Do not rely on any information on this website to make decisions in emergency situations. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for personal medical advice.
Doctor Profile Standards
Doctor profiles are a core part of the Azzocare platform. We hold these profiles to the highest standards of accuracy and transparency, because patients rely on this information when making healthcare decisions.
4.1 Verification Process
Every doctor profile on Azzocare undergoes a thorough verification process before it is published. This includes:
- Verification of medical registration number with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the National Medical Commission (NMC)
- Confirmation of educational qualifications (MBBS, MD, MS, DNB, DM, MCh, etc.) against issuing institutions
- Verification of current hospital affiliation and designation with the hospital's HR or administrative team
- Review of listed specializations and sub-specializations to ensure they match the doctor's formal training and credentials
- Cross-referencing of years of experience with employment and training history where available
4.2 Profile Content
All information in a doctor's profile is either provided directly by the doctor or their hospital and verified by our team, or sourced from publicly available official records. Profiles include:
- Full name and current designation as held at the affiliated hospital
- Educational qualifications in the order earned
- Total years of clinical experience
- Medical specialization and sub-specialization areas
- Hospital name, department, and location
- Published research, memberships, and awards — where provided and verified
4.3 Profile Updates
Doctor profiles are reviewed and updated periodically, or when we are notified of a change by the doctor, hospital, or a reliable third party. Doctors may request corrections or updates to their profiles at any time by contacting us at info@azzocare.com.
4.4 Profile Removal
If a doctor's registration is suspended, revoked, or subject to a disciplinary action by a medical council, their profile will be removed or suspended from Azzocare pending review and resolution. We take our responsibility to list only trustworthy and qualified doctors very seriously.
Health Content Creation Process
All health articles, condition guides, and educational content on Azzocare follows a structured creation and review process to ensure it meets our editorial standards.
Our editorial team identifies topics based on patient needs, search queries, and gaps in reliable health information available to patients in Delhi NCR and India. Research is conducted using peer-reviewed medical literature, authoritative health organisation guidelines, and expert consultation.
Content is drafted by health writers with expertise in medical communication. Writers are required to cite all sources used and flag any areas where clinical evidence is limited or contested. Content is written for clarity, accuracy, and accessibility — avoiding unnecessary medical jargon.
Before publication, all health articles and condition-specific content is reviewed by a qualified specialist in the relevant medical field. The reviewing doctor checks for factual accuracy, clinical appropriateness, and alignment with current treatment guidelines. The reviewer's name, credentials, and review date are noted.
Following medical review, content passes through an editorial quality check for language clarity, readability, patient appropriateness, and factual consistency. Our editorial team verifies that all claims are supported by the cited sources and that the tone is empathetic and non-alarmist.
Approved content is published with a clear publication date and the name of the medical reviewer. All health articles display when they were last reviewed or updated, so readers always know how current the information is.
Medical knowledge evolves. We review our health content periodically — at least annually for evergreen articles — and update it whenever significant new evidence, guidelines, or treatments emerge that affect the information provided.
Sources & References
We use only credible, recognised sources when creating health content. The table below outlines the categories of sources we rely on and their trustworthiness rating as applied internally at Azzocare.
| Source Type | Examples | Priority |
|---|---|---|
| Peer-Reviewed Medical Journals | The Lancet, NEJM, JAMA, BMJ, Indian Journal of Medical Research | Primary |
| National & International Health Organisations | WHO, ICMR, IMA, NMC, CDC, NHS | Primary |
| Clinical Practice Guidelines | AIIMS, ESMO, ASCO, ACC, AHA, specialty society guidelines | Primary |

| Expert Opinion & Doctor Review | Specialist doctors reviewing content for Azzocare | Supporting |
| Reputable Hospital & Medical Centre Publications | Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, AIIMS Delhi | Supporting |
We do not use blogs, social media posts, forums, or unverified online sources as primary references for health content. Where statistics or research data are cited, the source is always referenced with sufficient detail for the reader to locate the original material.
What We Do Not Publish
Azzocare maintains clear boundaries about the types of content that will not appear on our platform. We will never publish:
- Unverified medical claims, miracle cures, or content that contradicts established clinical evidence without credible scientific basis
- Content that promotes specific drugs, treatments, supplements, or medical devices in a way that is commercially motivated rather than clinically justified
- Sensationalist, fear-mongering, or alarmist health content that could cause unnecessary anxiety for patients
- Content that discourages patients from seeking professional medical advice or from following prescribed treatment plans
- Pseudoscience, alternative medicine claims presented as equivalent to evidence-based medicine without appropriate caveats
- Content that discriminates against patients on the basis of gender, age, caste, religion, disability, or socioeconomic status
- Personal health recommendations directed at individual patients — all content is general and educational only
- Content about specific legal cases, medical negligence claims, or matters that are sub judice
Advertising & Sponsored Content
Azzocare may display advertisements or publish sponsored content from hospitals, healthcare brands, and medical service providers. We are committed to ensuring that commercial content never compromises the integrity of our editorial output.
- Clear Labelling: All sponsored content, paid placements, and advertisements are clearly identified with labels such as "Sponsored", "Advertisement", or "Paid Partnership". These labels are visible and unambiguous.
- No Editorial Influence: Advertisers and commercial partners do not have any influence over our editorial decisions, content creation process, or the information presented in non-sponsored health articles and doctor profiles.
- Medical Accuracy: Even sponsored content must adhere to our core editorial standards of medical accuracy and patient safety. We reserve the right to reject or modify sponsored content that does not meet these standards.
- No Native Deception: We will not publish sponsored content designed to appear as independent editorial content. Paid content is always clearly distinguishable from our independent editorial work.
Hospital listings and doctor profiles on Azzocare may involve a commercial relationship between Azzocare and the hospital or institution. However, the information displayed in those profiles reflects verified facts about the doctor and institution — it is not promotional copy crafted by the advertiser.
Patient Reviews & Ratings
Patient reviews and star ratings on Azzocare are submitted voluntarily by patients who have had consultations with listed doctors. We value authentic patient feedback as a vital component of helping other patients make informed decisions.
- Authenticity: We take reasonable steps to ensure that reviews are submitted by genuine patients. Reviews may be subject to identity verification checks at our discretion.
- No Incentivised Reviews: We do not offer patients payment, discounts, or other incentives in exchange for submitting positive reviews. All reviews must be the genuine and independent opinion of the patient.
- No Suppression of Negative Reviews: We do not remove or suppress negative reviews at the request of doctors or hospitals, provided the review does not violate our content guidelines (e.g., abusive language, false factual claims).
- Right of Reply: Doctors and hospitals have the opportunity to respond professionally to patient reviews. Such responses are clearly labelled as coming from the medical professional or institution.
- Moderation: We moderate reviews to remove content that is abusive, defamatory, includes personal information about third parties, or violates applicable laws. Moderation is applied consistently and is not influenced by commercial considerations.
Corrections & Updates
We take errors seriously. If a factual mistake or inaccuracy is identified in any content on our platform, we are committed to correcting it promptly and transparently.
- Minor Corrections: Typographical errors, grammatical corrections, or minor factual clarifications may be made without a formal correction notice, provided they do not change the substantive meaning of the content.
- Substantive Corrections: If a factual error is identified that could materially affect how a reader understands the health information presented, we will correct the content and add a clear correction notice at the top of the article noting what was changed and when.
- Content Updates: When content is updated to reflect new medical evidence or guidelines, the article's "Last Reviewed" date is updated accordingly. The new information is clearly integrated into the article.
- Doctor Profile Corrections: Inaccuracies in doctor profiles are corrected immediately upon notification and verification. Profile correction requests can be made by the doctor directly via email.
If you believe any content on Azzocare contains a factual inaccuracy, please contact our editorial team at info@azzocare.com with the specific article or profile, the inaccuracy identified, and any supporting evidence. We will investigate and respond within 7 business days.
Conflicts of Interest
Azzocare is transparent about its business model and any potential conflicts of interest that may arise from commercial relationships with hospitals and doctors.
Our platform earns revenue through partnerships with hospitals and healthcare providers. We acknowledge that this creates a potential conflict of interest when publishing content about those same institutions. To manage this, we maintain the following safeguards:
- Editorial content — including health articles and specialty guides — is created and controlled by our independent editorial team, not by commercial partners
- Our editorial team is not incentivised to favour commercial partners in editorial content
- No commercial partner has the right to preview, approve, or veto editorial content before publication
- Where Azzocare has a commercial relationship with a hospital or doctor that is referenced in editorial content, we will disclose this relationship where appropriate
- Medical reviewers of our health content are required to declare any conflicts of interest (e.g., employment by a specific hospital, research funding) before reviewing content
